Kids Cooking Class – Age 12 – 16 years – Tuesday 9th January – 10 am

9th January 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This is a hands on cooking class! The kids will make EVERYTHING from scratch, make loads of mess and yes, I will teach them how to clean up after themselves too! On the menu will be .... - Chicken Fajita's with sour cream, salsa and guacamole - Chocolate Mousse Drop them off 15 minutes early and come back at 12 to eat with us!

In 2006/2007 I worked as Chef de Partie at Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen Cornwall’ restaurant where I ran the pasta section. I worked for Rick Stein at his Seafood Restaurant in Padstow at age 16. The head chef put me on the pastry section (I thinks because I was a girl), I requested to work on the larder where the crates would come in daily straight from the boats and I spent my days gutting and filleting fish! Dim Sum – Steamed and Pot Sticker dumplings with sauces (Hands On) – Wed 7th Feb – 6.30 pm

I have taken (stolen really) some of Simon Bryant (The Cook and the Chef)'s recipes from when we made dumplings together a few years ago. They are so delicious and this class is all about making a mess, creating your own dumpling shapes (and trying mine). What do I need?

Our venue is not licensed so please BYO drinks (including alcohol) to enjoy with your food, there is no drinking for the first hour until all the chopping is done, then you are welcome to have a drink…don’t worry if you’re thirsty, we do provide water!

For ‘Hands On’ Classes

The group will be broken in to teams of 4 or 5 and each team will work together to prepare a selection of the recipes. We don’t have the time in the class for everyone to cook everything however you do get to EAT EVERYTHING!

Please wear flat, enclosed shoes have long hair tied up and sensible clothing (no flappy kaftans or tops), aprons are provided

For ‘Demo’ Classes

Just bring yourself, non of the above required!

Apart from that, bring yourself and a hunger to learn, cook and eat!
